Manulife Hong Kong announces senior appointments for Pensions and Group Life and Health businesses

Hong Kong – Manulife Hong Kong has announced the promotions of Raymond Ng to Vice President and Head of Employee Benefits of Manulife (International) Limited, and Ellen Leung to Vice President and Chief Executive Officer of Manulife Provident Funds Trust Company Limited, effective July 1, 2018.

In their new roles, Raymond and Ellen will be key to driving these initiatives.” 

Raymond Ng heads the strategic development and operation of both the pensions (MPF and ORSO) and group benefits (Life & Health) business of Manulife Hong Kong. He is responsible for formulating and implementing innovative strategies on products and pricing, sales and distribution, pension services, as well as pension finance and operation. He reports to Guy Mills and is a member of Manulife Hong Kong’s senior management team.

Mr. Ng joined Manulife in 2011 as Assistant Vice President and Head of Business and Product Development, Employee Benefits. Before joining Manulife, he was Head of Sales - Pension and Group Business for a global insurance company in Hong Kong, overseeing both pension and group insurance sales channels. Prior to that, he worked at the insurance unit of a global bank in Hong Kong for more than 15 years and was the Assistant General Manager of Employee Benefits managing the sales and client services department. He obtained a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Canada and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Leicester in the U.K.

Ellen Leung is responsible for steering the overall direction, operation and compliance standards of Manulife Provident Funds Trust Company Ltd. to fulfill its statutory requirements and fiduciary duties as an MPF/ORSO scheme trustee. Her areas of responsibility include compliance, risk management, investment governance, complaint handling, regulatory investigation and reporting. She is also a board director of Manulife Provident Funds Trust Company Limited.

Ms. Leung joined Manulife in 2011 and was most recently Head of Operation & Customer Service, Employee Benefits. She has extensive experience in managing various functions of the retirement and group insurance segments. Before joining Manulife, she worked with a number of leading retirement service and employee benefits companies in Hong Kong, including as Head of Operation and Client Service at a leading international firm's pension and group operations in Hong Kong and as the appointed director of two trustee companies. She holds a Diploma in Management and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Henley Business School in the U.K.
