Despite the constraints of the pandemic, Manulife Hong Kong delivered strong results across key financial metrics in 2020 and the first quarter of 2021. These results demonstrate the underlying strength and resilience of the company’s business – with continuous agency sales growth, backed by robust demand for its saving plans, critical illness products and tax-deductible solutions.
In April, the company announced it has signed a lease agreement for approximately 145,000 square feet of Grade A office space at International Trade Tower (ITT) in Kowloon East. This was Hong Kong’s largest Grade A office leasing deal since July 2019 and the largest in Kowloon East since April 2018 in terms of net floor area1, reinforcing Manulife’s commitment to Hong Kong and its ambition to accelerate agency growth.
